Xtreme in 2009
Hectic is a short word that I would
describe 2009, combined with the uncertainties of the economic climate has made
this year very challenging.
However the Xtreme team has flourished during
2009, re-evaluating our direction and planning to enable us a very strong
platform of business to end the year singing from the trees.
Successfully selling our Global-pro business
and the Barocca restaurant in Canberra as a going concern, where two key initiatives that have cleared the way for a strong start to 2010.
Travel seems to be a constant with Xtreme and
business is gaining strong momentum throughout Asia and the Pacific. In the past
few months visiting Bangkok, Shanghai, Vietnam, Canada, South Africa and
Vanuatu, with a trip planned for Chicago in January in an attempt to crack a new
market. Discussions are under way to eventually expand our office to an Asian
capital city.

a go at his Oysters with cafe de Paris butter, Lamb Koftas with pita bread and
minted yoghurt, rissoles with ratatouille, apricot brochettes and almond
blancmange, Pete will sign them personally before they come to you. So get

Following the Success at last year’s

Whistler in Canada. The team will be focusing on several event precincts
including the new sliding centre, Whistler Olympic Park and the Celebration
Plaza. So far they have been having record snow falls so by February the scene
will be set for some exciting times.

Productions South Africa the Xtreme team has been developing a global pizza
event across the globe. The 2009 global pizza final will be held in Melbourne
following successful events in Johannesburg, Shanghai, Vietnam, Dubai and
Melbourne. The winner will be crowned Global Pizza World Champion. The event
schedule for 2010 will see over ten countries involved, with the potential to
double this again in 2011.
Xtreme highlights
The Federation of Canteens in Schools has
recently appointment myself as, General Manager of Business Development and
Procurement.
Following on from our recent involvement and
assistance the challenge is very exciting being able to have some involvement in
the governance of providing food for all of our school canteens.
There is a saying that ”a chef is only as
good as his last meal’, well just to let you know that I recently was invited to
compete internationally in a private competition against several international
competitors and took first prize, I must admit I was pleasantly surprised but
proving once again “I still have it”
Not to be out done Peter has completed his
Chef de Cuisine accreditation via the Australian Culinary Federation online
process and has scored the highest test result so far in the country,
congratulations Peter.
Xtreme Inventions
Xtreme loves the creative side of the food
service industry and to prove it, we are currently working on some X-Treme
inventions,
Watch this space for future developments and
of course if you want us to work on your invention or concept we are ready
willing and one of the very few companies that are truly able.
Xtreme Accuracy
Resort software is what we use to manage
our business in regards to restaurants and recipe data bases and of course
accurate costing.
On a recent trip to Asia, we trained the
sales staff of a major international company on how to help Chefs to accurately
cost menus using their own product. This has proved to be a great success as the
sales team can duplicate costing models on the spot to compare their meal cost
with competitors. At the same time teaching the Chefs a method of accurate
costing, what a great way to build repore and trust with your Chef, with this
kind of loyalty you are sure to win them over.
Xtreme Industry Congratulations

Not a big fan on the festive season myself,
must have been all the years of working through it. However it is the time of
year we look back over the year and plan great things for the following year. We
have given ourselves a present this year with the development of our new Xtreme
