Slice of Heaven
When it comes to pizza, New Yorkers sure
know a thing or two – and soon they’ll get the Xtreme
take on all things pizza! Next March, Glenn will feature as a keynote
speaker at the popular New York Pizza Show. New York’s largest
foodservice show, the Pizza Show spotlights the latest technology,
innovations and solutions for the pizza industry. Glenn will soon
wing his way to the States to share everything he knows about
developing the perfect pizza recipe, global trends and more.
Friends For Life
In a never before seen move, last month, the
Australian Culinary Federation appointed Glenn as their Honorary President
for Life. Recognising his contributions in placing Australia on the world
stage, the Federation bestowed this unique honour on Glenn, which is
his for life! In his acceptance speech, Glenn revealed the honour
would not be have been made possible without the efforts of those
supporting him in the industry. Congratulations, Glenn!
In Fine Forum
Recently
Glenn left Australia
for Bangkok
to present and co-chair at the World Association of Chefs’
Societies (WACS) Asia Pacific Forum. Attended by 19 countries, the
forum gave chefs from across the Asia Pacific region the chance to
come together and share their knowledge, experience and latest
innovations. The 10th Annual Forum also gave Thailand
a platform to showcase their skills and produce, in line with the
Thai government’s campaign of “Thai Cuisine to the
World”. The four-day conference was attended by some of the
best chefs of the region and proved to be an extremely successful
meeting of minds.
Getting to Know The Chicks!
This year, Glenn has been busy getting to
know the chicks! Well in a manner of speaking - the chickens at
Nando's fast casual restaurants that is! Glenn and Nando's have been
in association for a few months now as Nando's is a proud sponsor of
the Australian Culinary Olympics team for 2008. The whole team has
since come to experience the magic and uniqueness of Peri Peri and
are currently experi-perimenting with all kinds of unique ways to add
this fiery bite to a wide selection of recipes.
